That Wizard Came from the Moon (First Trial)

I regretfully leave them to die.

They are not real.  I think...

They cannot feel...but it pains me to leave others to die regardless.

My mission will free the vast majority of them...it's more important that I proceed.

I'm sorry.

The innocent people die, as they scream as they're ripped apart and their body parts strewn in the streets.

But you slip through the checkpoint unnoticed.

You notice the street is less crowded.

The palace is several more checkpoints ahead.

There's an alley to your left, and a street to your right.

I choose the alley.  It's less crowded, out of the main sight of most guards.

You go down the alley.  Indeed there are less shadows, and less people to.

You see in the corner of your eyes, a small courtyard to your right as you curve up the hill towards the palace.

Just off the alley.

Do you chance sneaking over to open it?

No, it's not worth going away from my mission.

Greed does not become me.  I continue up the path.

You continue up the alleyway...and come to a dead end.

But...is it?

Wait--what's that?

There's a rusling in a nearby pile of trash.

Do you search it?

I...I am torn.

If I do, I waste valuable time.

If I don't, I risk getting ambushed later and not becoming strong enough.

But I must follow my gut, and search the rustling pile of garbage.
