Status Conditions are debilitating effects that affect both player characters, allies and opponents.  They can be caused directly through Status Moves, or as an after effect of another Magic or Physical move used by a Persona or special weapon.

Unless otherwise stated, or cured, if left unchecked, Conditions will last for a maximum of 3 turns, healing on the third.

The conditions are as follows:

  • Down.  When Downed, you take an extra 25% damage, can't attack, and cannot evade.  Downed characters/opponents recover when it's their turn again.  The Down effect is caused by making a Critical Hit or exploiting a weakness.

  • Burn.  You take damage after every action until cured or healed.  Allows technically (+30% damage) from Nuclear and and Wind Skills.  Caused by Fire Skills, 10% chance.  Can be cured by Baisudi, Mabaisudi, Amrita Shower, Amrita Drop, Salvation or associated items.

  • Freeze.  You're frozen and unable to take actions.  Allows Technical damage from Physical and Nuclear Skills.  Broken once attacked.  Caused by Ice Skills, 10% chance.  Can be cured by Baisudi, Mabaisudi, Amrita Shower, Amrita Drop, Salvation or associated items.

  • Shock.  Unable to move or take actions.  If you melee attack a shocked enemy, there is a 5% chance you can become Shocked as well.  Allows Technical damage from Nuclear skills.  Caused by Electric Skills, 10% chance.  Can be cured by Baisudi, Mabaisudi, Amrita Shower, Amrita Drop, Salvation or associated items.

  • Dizzy.  Attack accuracy greatly reduced.  Allows Technical damage from any attack.  Caused by Sledgehammer, Flash Bomb, Dazzler or Nocturnal Flash.  Cured by Patra, Me Patra, Amrita Drop, Amrita Shower, Salvation and associated items.

  • Forget.  Unable to use Persona skills.  Caused by Headbutt, Memory Blow, Makajama and Makajamaon.  Cured by Patra, Me Patra, Amrita Drop, Amrita Shower, Salvation and associated items.

  • Sleep.  Unable to move or take actions.  5% of Max HP and SP restored each turn.  Attack the affected character will give Technical damage bonus, but remove the ailment.  Caused by Dream Needle, Dormin Rush, Dormina, and Lullaby.  Cured by Patra, Me Patra, Amrita Drop, Amrita Shower, Salvation and associated items.

  • Confuse.  Throw away money, use a random item, throw away a random item or do nothing.  Allows Technical damage from Psychic Skills.  Caused by Skull Cracker, Mind Slice, Pulinpa, Tentarafoo.  Cured by Energy Drop, Energy Shower, Amrita Drop, Amrita Shower, Salvation and associated items.

  • Fear.  Unable to move or take actions.  SP will decrease by 3% of Max each turn, and the character becomes incapacitated after 3 turns while in Despair.  Allows Technical damage from Psychic Skills.  Cuased by Negative Pile, Bad Beat, Ominous Words, Abysmal Surge, Dreadful Scream.  Cured by Energy Drop, Energy Shower, Amrita Drop, Amrita Shower, Salvation and associated items.

  • Rage.  Attack power doubled (x2 all melee damage values) at the cost of halving (divided by 2) all other stats.  The character will only be able to perform basic melee attacks until the ailment has run its course or is cured.  Allows Technical damage from Psychic Skills.  Caused by Hysterical Slap, Oni-Kagura, Taunt, Wage War, Arm of Destruction, Reverse Rub.  Cured by Energy Drop, Energy Shower, Amrita Drop, Amrita Shower, Salvation and associated items.

  • Brainwash.  Heal an enemy, attack an ally or use a support skill on an enemy.  Allows Technical damage from Psychic Skills.  Caused by Brain Shake, Brain Buster, Marin Karin, and Brain Jack.  Cured by Energy Drop, Energy Shower, Amrita Drop, Amrita Shower, Salvation and associated items.

  • Hunger.  Attack damage halved (any damage done is divided by 2).  Caused by Stomach Blow, Famine's Breath, Famine's Scream.  Cured by Patra, Me Patra, Amrita Drop, Amrita Shower, associated items, or eating/using an item that is food based.

Odds and chance are calcuated by an RNG similar to a dice roll.  When calculating added affects of moves, for example, Hysterical Chance, that has a Medium Chance to Rage, it is important to note there are two types of odds:

  • High (50%)
  • Medium (25%)

These are calculated by a player rolling the RNG using
Code:
[rand]NUMBER[/rand]
.

When it comes to insta-kill attacks, for Bless and Curse skills, their odds are broken down into:

  • Small (10%)
  • Medium (25%)
  • High (50%)

To decide which number is used, it is important to know the following break down:

  • For High chance, you must use the number 2.  Working like a coin toss with a 50-50 chance.  You must hit 2 for the desired effect to activate.
  • For Medium chance, you must use the number 4.  You have a 1/4 chance.  You will need a 4 for the desired effect to activate.
  • For Low chance, you must use the number 10.  You have a 1/10 chance.  You will need a 10 for the desired effect to activate.

For attacking a Shocked opponent, use the number 20, with a 1/20 chance (5%) of getting Shock from them.

To calculate Evasion, when battle an opponent, the Defender must subtract the Attacker's Agility from their Agility, and use the difference to discern your place in the RNG calculator scale.

If the difference is negative or 0, as in, the defender's agility is greater than the attacker's, the number in the RNG is 20.  A 5% chance of dodging.

If the difference is not negative, any difference 10 or lower, is a 10% (RNG of 10) chance of dodging.

Any difference greater than 10, but 25 and lower, are a 25% (RNG of 4) chance of dodging.

Anything greater than 25 is a 50% chance of dodging (RNG of 2.)

To successfuly dodge when rolling the RNG, you must successfully roll the highest possible number of the RNG.
